ScourGuard 4KC has been demonstrated to be effective against diarrhea in calves caused by bovine rotavirus (serotypes G6 and G10), bovine coronavirus, Escherichia coli (E. coli) and Clostridium perfringens Type C when calves nurse vaccinated dams.
ScourGuard 4KC has been demonstrated to be effective against diarrhea in calves caused by bovine rotavirus (serotypes G6 and G10), bovine coronavirus, Escherichia coli (E. coli) and Clostridium perfringens Type C when calves nurse vaccinated dams.
It is the first and only vaccine with label protection for both rotavirus G6 and G10 serotypes.* It significantly (p < 0.05) increases antibody concentrations to rotavirus G10 in the colostrum.1 Compared with unvaccinated controls, ScourGuard 4KC has been shown to reduce mortality caused by E. coli by 95%. Guidelines
The safety of ScourGuard 4KC in pregnant cows and heifers was demonstrated in three field safety studies conducted in three different geographic locations. No significant adverse events were observed in vaccinates following administration of ScourGuard 4KC. PRECAUTIONS: Store at 2° C to 7° C. Prolonged exposure to higher temperatures may adversely affect potency. Do not freeze. Use entire contents when first opened. Sterilized syringes and needles should be used to administer this vaccine. Do not vaccinate within 21 days before slaughter. Contains gentamicin and merthiolate as preservatives. Transient temperature increases may occur following vaccination. As with many vaccines, anaphylaxis may occur after use. Initial antidote of epinephrine is recommended and should be followed with appropriate supportive therapy.
